On Friday, September 25, President Circle members and friends gathered at 91制片厂 Giumarra Courtyard for a spectacular evening under the stars that featured award winning talent from the Conservatory of Music along with a powerful address from President Barry H. Corey. The event, An Evening with President Corey, was created to thank President Circle members for their faithfulness to Biola, and introduce new friends to Biola as they heard President Corey vision for the upcoming academic year.
As the group dined under the lighted sails and candlelight of the courtyard, they heard a musical performance from Biola senior Shaya Greathouse who sang 鈥淵ou聽Lift me Up鈥 and ended the evening by leading the group with the hymn 鈥淏e Thou my Vision鈥. Leaders from returning SMU (Student Missionary Union) trips also joined the President Circle members.聽 Student Christian Young shared his experience of traveling to Zambia with a team of nine other Biola men over the summer, while the other SMU leaders who attended where able to interact with guests at a dessert reception following the dinner.
President Circle members are invited to events like An Evening with President Corey throughout the year.聽 They are a group of generous donors who give $1200 or more to the Biola Fund each year.聽 For more information, visit the .
